This song is written in a bit of a story form, so it kind of explains itself. Christ came to this world, and experienced rejection, persecution, and was put to death. He knew that all, yet the price he paid for his human existence was still worth it to him - for through his death, he paid the price of our sin and separation from God - and he created God's family - those who have accepted his punishment as replacing their own, and have been adopted into the family of God as sons and daughters! Stop to ponder this occurrence for a minute. This must truly be the greatest act of love in history - the sacrifice of God himself on behalf of mankind. May this love define our lives today.
